Moving right along...while I had some "free time" (ha ha), I thought I would blog about other stuff.
Vacation. I can't believe that was over a month ago now, and I never wrote anything about it. I'll keep it kind of short just for your sanity! So, back in September we flew to California for Brian's brother's wedding...well that was the main purpose of going out there...but really the highlight of the trip was getting to see some of our family that we hadn't seen in 3 years, specifically Brian's sister and her family. Or, to put it more clearly Bridgette got to spend time with her COUSINS!!! Before we moved to Florida 8 years ago, Bridgette was VERY close with her younger cousins...at the time it was just Alex and Isaac, who are 2 and 5 years younger than Bridgette. Since we moved, there was the arrival of another cousin, Alex & Isaac's little sister Sarah who is 9 years younger than Bridgette. This trip believe it or not was only the 4th time we've seen Sarah since she was born. As you can imagine this was a big deal! Five Days. That's all we had with them...but they were some of the most memorable days and we will cherish them. We all got to play with the doggies while we were there...who were just too cute, and I discovered that Allegra is an awesome allergy medicine for me! The wedding was TONS of fun...the cousins pretty much danced for 3 hours straight...it was a crazy good time!
While in California (Northern), we got to do some sight-seeing and go to some fun places. We visited the Jelly Belly jellybean factory...took a tour and bought some jellybeans of course! We visited the Charles M. Schulz Museum...which happens to be in Santa Rosa where my brother-in-law lives. We went to the Armstrong Redwoods and Korbel Champagne Cellar/Winery place. We went to San Francisco, did a tour of Alcatraz in the morning, and then spent the afternoon around Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf area for lunch and shopping. We drove out to the Pacific Coast, along Rt 1...had a picnic lunch at Bodega Bay and then up to Bodega Head which had the most stunning views I've possibly ever seen. And then we had to come home...to our own beds and our kitties who missed us! All in all it was a great trip!
Here are a few pictures from our trip!
The doggies from L-R: Cody & Bailey (Eric & Anne's dogs)
and Sadie (Brian's parent's dog)

Brian, Bridgette & I at the Schulz Museum
Bridgette (16) & Alex (14) Notice the height difference?
And Bridgette is wearing her 5 inch wedges she brought for the wedding!
Looking Good!
Crazy Cousins having a GREAT TIME at their Uncle Eric's wedding!
Brian's brother Eric and his bride Anne!
I love this pic of them!
Brian, Bridgette, Alex & Isaac at the Armstrong Redwoods!
This is my favorite photo from the whole trip!
The Cousins and Colonel Armstrong...Alex doesn't seem so tall anymore!
One thing I need to say about this Redwood forest...it was SO QUIET!
Not a sound other than people...no buzzing bug noises, no critters, no birds.
Just a completely still forest, it was kind of creepy and cool!
Here we are at outside Alcatraz w/ the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
This was the best view we ever got of the bridge...FOG liked to keep it hidden!
Bodega Bay was beautiful...
But as you can see the water was COLD!
Bridgette, her cousins and Uncle Adam at Bodega Head.
The views were absolutely breath taking!
Sitting pretty on the cliffs...
but it's a long, scary way down to the ocean!
And thus ends my condensed overview of our California trip!
Looks like a great vacation. So glad you had fun.
